10 minutes for lad and dad
Put 10 minutes aside each day to kick start your lad's reading and help him tackle his reading goals.
Extensive independent and international research highlights that young working class boys often struggle to realize their full learning potential due to barriers to learning associated with language and literacy.
Holy Cross Boys’ Primary School with the support of Cliftonville Football Club are launching the 10-4-LAD project with the objective to encourage fathers, grandfathers and uncles to spend 10 minutes each day reading with their sons.
10-4-LAD will be promoted throughout our school community and beyond in recognition of the fact that helping our boys to develop a love for reading is one of the greatest gifts a father figure can give his son.
Use the form to register your interest in the course. You will be invited to a short workshop in the school which will help you engage your son in reading and give you access to materials such as videos and newsletters which will also help guide you.
Once registered you will be entered into a draw for book tokens and Cliftonville FC tickets.
