Holy Cross Boys' Primary School have a great relationship with Glenwood Primary School. Both schools are participating in the ARC program together. Children and parents from both schools have the opportunity to take part in workshops and trips.
At the minute the Primary 1 classes, Primary 3 classes and Primary 7 classes and their parents are involved in the scheme.
Primary 1 classes have had in schools sessions in both schools and have had one trip to W5. They are hoping to visit Belfast Zoo in the Summer Term with their friends from Glenwood.
Primary 3 classes have also had in school sessions and will be having 2 trips.
Primary 7's have had several in school sessions and will be having one trip with Glenwood. Mr Connolly's class are also taking part in photography workshops with a P6 class from Glenwood. They will receive training in how to look at architecture and take pictures, how to load them onto computer and edit them. Their photographs will be exhibited in 'Belfast Exposed' in the centre of Belfast.
Parents from all classes are offered the opportunity to take part in parenting workshops and photography classes as well. The photography class for the parents is an accredited course.
Primary 7 pupils are also involved with the Belfast Peaceplayers and Glengormley Integrated primary School. Watch the video to find out their views on the Peaceplayers.
