Welcome to the world of P2!!!
Having an interactive board in the classroom means we can really bring learning to life in school. The kids really enjoy some of the games and activities I have researched on the internet and don't realise most of the time they are learning.
Our maths this half term focuses on addition and subtraction, money (counting money, giving coins, working out totals and giving change), sorting using diagrams, ordinal number (first, second etc) and 3D shapes.
Our topic is Toys. This includes things like materials they are made from, old and new toys, how toys work/move, countries they come from, how some of them are made and the history of some toys.
Communication focuses on segmenting and blending sounds, rhyming, finding little words in big words, making sure sentences have capital letters, spaces and full stops.
The children have asked if I could send home a list of some of these games we play. I thought it might be easier for you to access if I just put links to the games up on here. If you hold 'ctrl' and click on the link it will open it in a new window for you so the school website will stay open if you want to open a new game.
I really hope you enjoy the links and lots of fun with your son playing these games and extending his learning at home.
