Congratulations to all our Year 7 boys and also to the girls from Holy Cross Girls’ and Mercy Primary Schools, who received the Sacrament of Confirmation today in Holy Cross Church.
The pupils conducted themselves with great maturity and participated beautifully throughout the ceremony. We are extremely proud of each and every one of them.
Our sincere thanks go to Fr. Charles Cross, Fr. Aidan Troy and Fr. Godfred for leading such a reverent and uplifting celebration. We are also deeply grateful to Mrs. Martin (Music Specialist), Miss Quirk (RE Coordinator), our teachers—Mr. Hawkins, Mr. Magennis and Mrs. Brooks—and our classroom assistants - Stephen, Erin, Joe, Tia, Sharon, Emma, Lewis and Ciara—for preparing the boys with such care and dedication for this very special occasion.
A special word of thanks as well to our choir boys and instrumentalists, whose singing and performances added so much beauty to the ceremony.
