HCB Careers Week 2025 - an outstanding success!

The boys were treated to an outstanding Careers Week 2025, with a wide range of superb and interesting professions visiting their respective classes to discuss different types of careers.

🚀 They had the chance to meet:

- 🛠️ A joiner  

- 🥊 A boxer  

- 🎮 A VR graphic designer  

- 💍 A jeweller  

- 🚒 Firefighters  

- 🏒 A nutritionist for the Belfast Giants  

- 🌟 Ardoyne's own youth leader  

- 🧹 Our caretaker  

- 🎮 Smash Bros experts  

- 💼 A business owner  

- 🏛️ Belfast City Council representatives  

- 🚑 Northern Ireland Ambulance staff  

- 🏦 Representatives from Danske Bank  

- 🗞️ The Irish News

- 🏋️‍♂️ Personal trainers

and many more amazing visitors!  

We had inspiring stories from:  

- 🎤 Paddy McDonnell: His journey to becoming a famous comedian.  

- 🥊 Sean McComb: How he grew into a professional boxer (even teaching a few tricks!).  

- 💼 Kieran Murray: His hard work and dedication in building Murray & Co jewellers and the opportunities this has given him (including giving back to his community!)

- 🖥️ Michael McGlade: Showcasing the endless opportunities in technology through incredible examples and insights.  

To conclude one of the best weeks in the school calendar, we had a brilliant P1Q Class Assembly (What we want to be when we grow up!) followed by the P1-3 *parade of careers*! The costumes were absolutely spectacular, and it was amazing to see the creativity and effort put into them. Congratulations to the winners!

The week was a roaring success, filled with creativity, inspiration, and laughter! 🌟 Thank you to everyone who made Careers Week 2025 unforgettable! 💖
