Dear parents/guardians,

Due to ongoing issues, we have made the decision to close the school early today.

P1–P3 pupils: will be dismissed at 12.15pm

P4–P7 pupils: will be dismissed at 12.30pm

All pupils will have their lunch before leaving.

P4–P7 pupils will be dismissed at 12.30pm and may walk home as normal. Contact us asap if there are any issues.

If you are unable to collect your son from P1–P3 at 12.15pm, staff will remain on site to supervise him until an adult arrives.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The safety and wellbeing of our pupils remain our top priority.

HCB Eco Council launch Sunflower Competition

As part of a whole-school initiative to celebrate growth and nurture, every pupil had the opportunity to plant their very own sunflower this week. Guided by Mr Johnston, the Eco Council and P7 pupils, each class got hands-on with soil, seeds, and pots, learning about what plants need to grow and thrive. It was a wonderful way to bring all year groups together through a shared activity that combines nature, science, and teamwork.

To add a little excitement, we’ve launched a Sunflower Competition! The tallest sunflower in each year group will receive a special prize at the end of the term. We can’t wait to see how the sunflowers progress over the coming weeks – let the growing begin!
