HCB football team advance in the EDCO U11 Cup at Solitude

6th Oct 2023

The school football team (under the guidance of Mr Mullan and Joe Gormley) overcame St. Joseph’s, Ballyhackamore 3-0 in the EDCO U11 Cup (9 a-side) today at Solitude.

Goals from Leon Shannon, Christopher Moloney and Faelan McGuckian and a man of the match performance from Jacob Patterson at centre back, ensured a second-round clash with the winners of Strandtown P.S or Orangefield P.S.

Thanks so much to Cliftonville FC and especially Imelda Pettigrew for the use of their superb facilities for today’s encounter and also to Cliftonville’s Paul McKeown and David Begley for the free tickets for tomorrow’s game with Dungannon Swifts. The tickets were snapped up extremely quickly by our very grateful parents and excited pupils!

HCB will begin their defence of the Cyril Murray Cup when they meet Cairnshill Primary School in the opening round on the 19th October.
