HCB football team lose out narrowly against Strandtown PS in the Cyril Murray Cup final

The HCB football team lost out narrowly against an impressive Strandtown Primary School side in the Cyril Murray Cup final at Avoniel Leisure Centre last Thursday on a 2-1 scoreline.

Kaelem Madden gave HCB the lead after 2 minutes with a superb strike and came agonisingly close to grabbing a second, but for brilliant saves from the Strandtown keeper.  

The boys worked exceptionally hard for their coaches, Mr Mullan, Tony, Joe and Michael but it wasn’t to be on this occasion, as Strandtown equalised in the second half and then sealed the winner in extra time.
