HCB have reached 11 million words in Accelerated Reader to date!

27th Nov 2022

The year groups totals are in for Accelerated Reader. We have been up and running for around ten weeks now and P4-P7 have amassed over 11 million words since September. P7 are setting the high standards with over 6 million words read. P5 and P6 are having a serious battle for second place with P5 edging it at the minute. It’s great, that we as a school are adding over a million words a week but we can do even better. In the space of a week we have seen fantastic reading among the boys. Just under two million words have been added in the last week so the encouragement they have been getting in school and at home is having a very positive impact. Rewards will continue to be given out for effort and good practice. Our aim in the next three weeks is to hit the 15 million word mark so please keep encouraging the boys to read in the lead up to Christmas. Thank you!
