We said a heartfelt farewell to our Year 7 pupils this week. These boys have completed their journey at HCB and now look ahead to an exciting new chapter in September. Congratulations to all who received their leaver certificates, awards, and medals.
A special well done to Shauna Travers (Aunt Nellie’s Café), who received our School Community Award. Shauna and her staff have been fantastic throughout the year, providing Friday morning treats for our lucky boys. These rewards - hot chocolate and pancakes have been thoroughly enjoyed and truly appreciated as recognition of the boys’ effort and positive behaviour.
Congratulations also to our Past Pupil Award winner, Mr Mullan (current P4 teacher and Extended Schools Coordinator), who has become an integral and valued member of the HCB staff.
We would like to extend our thanks to all our special guests: Sean Moyes (Board of Governors Chairman), Thomas Turley, Joe McNeill, Donna Hawkins, Stephen Konrad, and Nichola Bradley.
A particular thank you goes to our keynote speaker, Mairead Harvey, who taught in the school up until 2003 and has recently taken up the role of Director of Education with CCMS.
We are also very grateful to our wonderful parents for their continued support.
Thank you to all the HCB team who helped with the ceremony and who supported these boys throughout their seven year journey. All of the HCB staff are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
